SQUARE JOINT WITH DOWELS (Fig. 1)
Always begin by placing the multiguide on side panel «A» and drilling from the
inside. (Fig. 2)
Next, drill the horizontal panel «B». (Fig. 3)
To prevent the multiguide moving, hold down the stop screws with the hand.
IMPORTANT: (Fig. 4)
1. To join two panels the tool must be placed on them with the stop disc on the
same side of each of them (on the front or back)
2. The joints can be left-hand or right-hand. With the multiguide placed as shown
in the diagrams above, corners 1 and 3 of the structure can be drilled. For the
opposite corners, 2 and 4, the tool should be turned around and the stop disc should
be placed on the other end of the bar. See more examples at the end of the page.
The depth stop we include should be fixed to an 8 mm drill bit to the following
measurements according to the thickness of the material:
16 mm panel
19mm panel
«T» JOINTS WITH DOWELS (Fig. 5)
When drilling in this position the plastic depth stop should be inserted in the
drill. (Fig. 6)
Also, and only for this operation, the tensor should be fitted, which acts as a clamp,
securing the tool to the panel.
Drill the side piece and the shelf (Here, both pieces will be stopped from behind).
Observe how to place the tool for right-hand and left-hand joints. (Marks for
aligning the tool with 16 to 19 mm panels (A, Fig. 7)).
SQUARE JOINT WITH SCREWS (Fig. 8)
Firstly secure the tool to the side panel «A» (as shown in the process with dowels).
Insert the reducer bushing in each piece and drill from the inside. Remove the multi-
guide to finish making the holes. Widen them and bevel them on the outside. (Fig. 9)
On the horizontal panel proceed as shown in diagram B for dowels, but also use
the reducer bushing. Finish off the holes after removing the tool. (Fig. 10)
Check that the smallest diameter drill bit only exceeds this size of drill.
REMEMBER THAT YOU MUST USE THE SAME SIDE OF BOTH PANELS
«T» JOINT WITH SCREWS (Fig. 11)
Place the multiguide on the inside of the panel, drill through and finish off the
holes from the outside. (Fig. 12)
(See above for how to secure it)
Marks for aligning the tool at the height you wish to place the other panel (the
upper mark for 19 mm and the lower mark for 16 mm). (A, Fig. 12)
When working with 16 mm chip board use the sliding aluminium supplements in
all operations, for both dowels and screws.
If you need to glue on strips to cover the edges, do this before beginning to drill.
Observe how to place the tool for right-hand and left-hand joints (Fig. 13)
