* You cannot activate the TA function from
the cassette mode if the tuner was last set
to the MW/LW band.
¢ If the tuner was last set to FM, turning on
the TA function lets you operate other
tuning functions while listening to a
cassette.
¢« Only the VOLUME [+] /[-], [TA], [AF] and
[SOURCE] buttons are active during traffic
announcement reception.
How to Adjust the TA volume
During traffic announcement reception, the
volume automatically changes to an
adjustabie preset level so you can easily
hear the traffic announcement.
TP Alarm function
30 seconds after the "TP" or "EON"
indicator disappears (due to a weak signal),
a beeping alarm will sound for about 5
seconds to tell you to tune in another TP
station.

Press the [TA] button.
("TA" lights in the display.)
The tuner begins waiting for traffic
announcements.
Press the [TA] button again.
("TA" goes out from the display.)
Pressing TA during a traffic announcement
cancels the current traffic announcement
without turning off the TA function. In this
case, press once more to turn off the TA
function completely.
+ The system switches back to the original
source after traffic announcement
reception.
- The tuner only stops at TP or EON-TP
stations when you use SEEK tuning with
the TA function ON.
* The tuner only stores TP or EON-TP
stations when you use BSM auto memory
with the TA function ON.
If you adjust the volume while listening to
the traffic announcement, the new volume
will be stored in the memory. The next time
a traffic announcement is received, the
volume will change to the adjusted level.
* In cassette mode, the tuner automatically
tunes to the strongest TP station in the area
and stands by for a traffic announcement 5
seconds after "TP" disappears from the
display. So you won't miss any traffic
announcements while continuing to listen
to the cassette.
