You can choose from the following PTYs:
AFFAIRS: Topical programs expanding
upon the news.
CLASSICS: Serious classics; performances
of major orchestral works.
CULTURE: Programs concerned with any
aspect of national or regional culture.
DRAMA: All radio plays and serials.
EASY MUS: "Easy listening" music.
EDUCATE: Educational programs.
INFO: General information and advice.
L.CLASS: Light classics; classical music for
non-specialist appreciation.
Note
Some stations may broadcast program
contents that are different from their PTY
code.

Press the [PT] button.
"PTY" and the program type flash in the
display and the receiver searches for a
station broadcasting the desired PTY.
¢ NEWS: Short accounts of facts, events,
publicly expressed views, reportage, etc.
° OTH MUS: Other types of music, such as,
Jazz, R & B, Folk, Country, Reggae.
> POP MUS: Commercial music of popular
appeal.
* ROCK MUS: Contemporary modern music.
* SCIENCE: Programs about nature, science,
and technology.
* SPORT: Programs concerned with any
aspect of sports.
- VARIED: Light entertainment programs.
¢ If no stations are broadcasting the selected
PTY, "NO PTY" is displayed for about 2
seconds and the receiver returns to the
original station.
