Operation time limitation
Operation time limitation is an additional safety feature to turn OFF cooking zones after a certain time with
no operation to the corresponding cooking zone by the user.
The time after which the cooking zone is turned OFF is mentioned in the table below.
Each user operation related to the cooking zone will reset this time limit.

Permanent key activation
If two or more sensor keys are pressed at the same time (e.g. when a pan is mistakenly put onto a sensor
key) no function will be activated.
All sensors are supervised for permanent key activation. If any sensor is activated for more than 10 sec,
the hob switches into OFF mode, emits a signal tone for 10 sec and displays "Er03" as long as the
permanent detection is recognized. As soon as the permanent key activation disappears, the hob can be
operated regularly.
Protection against overheating
If the hob is used at full power for a longer period, it will not be possible to cool down the electronics
system as required at a high room temperature.
In order to ensure that no excessive temperatures occur in the electronics system the power of the
cooking zones may be reduced automatically.
Should E2 be displayed fre- quently during normal use of the hob and at normal room temperature, it is
likely that cooling is not sufficient.
This may occur if kitchen units have no openings.
The installation may have to be checked (see the section on Ventilation).
