Generator Maintenance
Generator
maintenance
consists
of keeping the unit dean
and dry. Operate
and store the unit in a dean
dry
environment
where
it wiHHnot be exposed
to excessive
dust, dirt, moisture
or any corrosive
vapors.
CooHing air
shots in the generator
must not become
cHoKed with snow,
Heaves or any other
foreign
materiaH.
NOTE:
DO NOT use a garden
hose to dean generator.
'Water can enter
engine fuel system
and cause probHems. In
addition,
if water
enters
generator
through
cooHing air sHots,
some of the water wiHHbe retained
in voids and cracks
of
the rotor
and stator winding
insuHation.V_%ter
and dirt
buiHdup on the generator
internal
windings
wiHH eventuaHHy
decrease
the insuHation resistance
of these windings.

the wire where it cannot contact spark plug.

the muffler side of the generator, For future reference, pHease
