SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the instructions in this manual carefully, as they provide important information on safe
installation, use and maintenance. Keep these instructions in a safe place for future use.

Remove the packaging and check that the appliance is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the
appliance and contact your dealer.

Do not allow children to play with parts of the packaging (such as plastic bags).

Before connecting the appliance, make sure that the data on the nameplate (sticker placed on
the appliance) corresponds to that of your domestic electrical network.

Only use this machine under the conditions described in this manual. Any other use is not
recommended and may result in fire, personal injury or electric shock.

To disconnect from the mains, grasp the plug and pull it out. Do not pull on the cord.

The operation of any electrical appliance must be continuously supervised in the presence of
children. This appliance is not a toy.

Do not touch the appliance with damp or wet hands or feet.

Unplug the appliance from the mains before any maintenance or cleaning operation.

Do not immerse the appliance in water.

To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not dismantle the motor unit.

There is no reason to open the motor unit to find any useful parts, as it contains none.

Repairs should only be carried out by authorised personnel.

This appliance is strictly for domestic use only.

Training
Read the instructions carefully. Be familiar with the controls and correct use of the
equipment.
Never allow children, persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience or knowledge, or persons unfamiliar with these instructions to use the machine.
Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not be
carried out by children. National regulations may restrict the age of the operator. The risks
involved must be understood before using the machine.
Bear in mind that the operator or user is responsible for any accidents he may cause or any
danger he may cause to other people or their property.

Preparing for use
Before use, check the power cable and extension lead for signs of damage or ageing.
If the cable is damaged during use, disconnect it from the mains immediately. DO NOT
TOUCH THE CABLE UNTIL IT HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAINS. Do
not use the machine if the cable is damaged or worn.
Before use, always visually inspect the machine to detect whether the guard or shield is worn,
damaged or incorrectly positioned.
Never operate the machine while bystanders, especially children, or animals, are standing
nearby. Bystanders must be kept at least 15m away from the machine operator.

Operation
Keep the power cable and extension cord away from the cutting unit.
