5.2 Sterilising
Before sterilising, always clean as
described in chapter "5.1 Cleaning" on
page 20.

6.1 Selecting the silicone
breast shield
The silicone breast shields 1 provided
are marked on the outside as follows:
24 mm and 27 mm. This refers to the
diameter at the narrowest point.
From the two silicone breast shields
select the one that best suits the size of
your nipple. Its diameter should be
slightly larger than your nipple. Then set
aside the breast shield that is not the
right size to rule out any confusion.

breast shield but are using the three-
arm tube set 16 for the double pump,
you must insert the unused tube in
the cross-piece to prevent any air
being drawn in there.
Note: The bottle adapter 9 provided
also allows you to use the breast pump
with bottles from the NUK First Choice
range.
Note: Make sure that the silicone breast
shield 1 fits snugly with the connecting
element 5 and that the flow valve 6 is
mounted properly as the pump may
otherwise draw in air, so preventing it
from working correctly.
