2.1 Safety rules
DANGER
X
Do not puncture or damage the battery
pack; do not allow the battery pack to
suffer any mechanical or physical impacts
or make any internal modifications. If the
battery pack has any visible damage, do
not continue use. Continued use may
result in explosions or fire and result in
death or other severe injuries.
X
Keep the battery pack far away from heat
sources and open flames.
The battery pack should not be exposed
to temperatures above 140˚F (60°C).
Do not keep the battery close to fire
sources or immerse it in water, otherwise
it might result in the danger of explosions.
WARNING
X
Only use genuine Hydrive batteries and
battery packs, or battery packs approved
for use with your e-bike by the
manufacturer, and purchase only from
approved vendors. Use of uncertified
battery packs may result in death or severe
injuries.
X
Remove the battery pack before performing
any inspections, maintenance or repairs on
the bicycle; inspecting, maintaining or
repairing the bicycle before removing the
battery pack may result in unexpected
activation of the e-bike system which may
cause severe injuries.
X
Do not dismantle the battery pack; doing so
may result in the risk of short-circuiting the
battery system. Dismantling of the battery
pack will void all warranties.
X
If the battery is not in use, please keep the
battery away from paper clips, coins, keys,
nail clippers, screws, or other objects that
can conduct electricity. Connecting the two
ends of the battery may result in short-
circuiting or even fire. Any damage to the
battery due to misuse or mishandling will not
be covered by warranty.
X
Avoid mechanical load or exposure to high
temperatures. This can damage the
electronuclear structure of the battery and
cause the flammable substance inside the
battery to flow out.
X
Do not place the charger or battery pack
close to flammable substances and make
sure that the battery pack is stored in dry and
fireproof environments. The heat generated
during the charging process has the risk of
causing fires.
X
Always closely monitor the battery during
charging.
X
The leaking of battery fluids may cause burns
or irritations to the skin. If the battery fluid
leaks due to improper usage, avoid touching
the leaked battery fluid. If you accidentally
touch the battery fluid, clean with large
amounts of water immediately. If the battery
fluid comes in contact with your eyes, seek
medical attention immediately.
