OPERATION
1. Try to assess the weight of the load as closely as possible and adjust the position of the jib arm,
accordingly.
2. Drive the lifter over the load in such a way that the load chain is situated centrally and directly above
the load, with the jib arm in lowered position.
3. Now securely fasten the load to the load hook.
4. Close the valve of the lifting cylinder and lift the load to the desired height by actuating the pump lever.
5. To lift the load, you have to completely close the valve by turning the pump lever clockwise.
6. After that the load is lifted by moving the pump lever upwards and downwards.
7. To lower the load again, you have to open the valve by slowly turning the release valve anticlockwise.
Please note: Opening the valve also regulates the lowering speed.
8. Lower the load by carefully opening the release valve.
The position of the jib extension affects the
maximum lifting capacity of the lifter. For instance,
in the position of the jib extension in the illustration
on the right, a maximum lifting capacity of 2T is
reached.
Please note: Do not load the lifter over the
maximum lifting capacity. Failure to do so can
cause damage to property and injury to persons!
MAINTENANCE
If you use and maintain your equipment properly, it will give you many years of service. Follow the
maintenance instructions carefully to keep your equipment in good working condition. Never perform any
maintenance on the equipment while it is under a load.
• Monthly maintenance is recommended. Lubrication is critical to jacks as they support heavy loads. Any
restriction due to dirt, rust, etc., can cause either slow movement or cause extremely rapid jerks,
damaging the internal components. The following steps are designed to keep the jack well lubricated:
• Lubricate the ram, linkages, saddle and pump mechanism with light oil. Grease wheel bearings and
axles.
• Visually inspect for cracked welds, bent, loose, missing parts or hydraulic oil leaks.
• If jack is subjected to abnormal load or shock, remove from service and have it examined by a
customer service representative prior to use.
• Clean all surfaces and maintain all labels and warnings.
• Check and maintain the ram oil level.
• Check ram every 3 months for any sign of rust or corrosion. Clean as needed and wipe with an oil cloth.
