ASSEMBLY
INSTALLING THE ADJUSTING HANDWHEELS
See Figure 7 and 8.
NOTE: It is helpful to place two inch-thick boards on the floor
before lifting the saw table and motor housing from the box.
This will make it easier to assemble parts, and to move the
saw and set it upright.
 Lift the saw table and motor housing from the box and
position it on the boards as shown.
 Loosen the plastic wrap from the table and lift each side
to remove the wrapping.
To install the height adjusting handwheel:
 Slide one of the handwheels and a washer over the shaft
above the bevel adjustment scale on the front of the saw.
 Screw the knob securely onto the shaft.
To install the bevel adjusting handwheel:
 Slide the other handwheel and a washer over the shaft
on the side of the saw.
 Screw the knob securely onto the shaft.
NOTE: The height adjusting handwheel knob and the bevel
adjusting handwheel knob act as locks. Loosen the knob prior
to making adjustments and tighten securely to lock in place
REMOVING THE FOAM BLOCK FROM THE
SAW CABINET
See Figure 9.
The saw is shipped with a foam block between the saw's
housing and the motor to protect the motor and other
internal components during shipping. The foam block must
be removed prior to operating the saw.
 Using the 4 mm hex key, remove the bolts securing the
rear panel to the saw cabinet.
 Remove the rear panel and locate the foam block.
 Angle the motor away from the foam block by unlocking
the bevel adjusting handwheel and turning it clockwise.
 Remove the foam block.
NOTE: Do not replace the rear panel until the dust chute
is secured as described in Securing the Dust Chute to
the Saw Cabinet.
