is not qualified to operate this appliance. All users of this appliance must read and
understand this Instruction Manual before operating or cleaning this appliance.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including:

Read all instructions before operating this appliance.

DO NOT TOUCH the hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3.
This appliance is NOT A TOY.
4.
Unsupervised young children and cognitively challenged
individuals should never operate this appliance.

Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plug
or any part of this unit in water or other liquids.

Unplug from outlet when not in use, before removing parts and before cleaning.
Allow to cool before putting on or taking off any parts, and before cleaning.

malfunctions, or if the appliance has been damaged in any manner. Return the

The manufacturer does not recommend the use of accessory attachments other than

12. For general ventilating use only. DO NOT use to exhaust
hazardous or explosive materials or vapors.
13. Use only with range hood cord connection kits that have been investigated
and found acceptable for use with this model range hood.
14. To reduce risk of fire and to properly exhaust air, do not vent exhaust air
into spaces within walls, ceilings, attics, crawl spaces, or garages.
15. To reduce the risk of fire, use only metal duct work. Install this
hood in accordance with all requirements specified.
16. To reduce the risk of a range top grease fire:
•
Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boil overs cause smoking and
greasy spill overs that may ignite. Heat oils slowly on low or medium settings.
•
Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat or when flambeing food
(l.e. Crepes Suzette, Cherries, Jubilee, Peppercorn Beef Flambe').
•
Clean ventilating fans frequently. Grease should not be
allowed to accumulate on fan or filter.
•
Use proper pan size. Always use cookware appropriate for the size of the surface element.
17. TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK, OR INJURY
TO PERSONS, OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING:
•
Use this unit only in the manner intended by the manufacturer.
