To remove the griddle top:
STEP 03
lift the hood latches to open the hood� (The griddle lock is on the
right side of the griddle top�)
Push up and twist the knob under the appliance body to disengage
the griddle lock�
Heavy pieces. Two people should assemble this appliance.
NOTICE
• DO NOT mix old and new batteries.
• DO NOT mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable
(ni-cad, ni-mh, etc.) batteries.
Twist all four (4) feet out at least 1/2 inch (~12 mm)� Tighten

Proceed to USING YOUR BLACKSTONE�
Hot appliance. The cover MUST be open when the burner is in
operation.
NOTICE
Place appliance on a heat-resistant and flame-resistant
surface while in use.

Remove the griddle top and regulator�
STEP 04
Use soapy water and a soft cloth to wash the griddle top surface
before initial use�
Set the griddle top back in place by aligning the griddle top
STEP 05
with the slots on the left side of the appliance body� Re-engage the
griddle lock�
NOTICE
Place appliance on a heat-resistant and flame-resistant
surface while in use.
NOTICE
DO NOT leave the hood closed for more than 10 minutes while
cooking.
NOTICE
DO NOT place items on stabilizing shelf during use.
