IUsually, hedges should be cut in the shape
of a trapezium (as in the figure), that is, both
sides are gradually larger in the bottom.
This shape will expose the surface of the
hedge to sun light, which will provide a
more even growth. For reference, apply an
inclination of approximately 10 cm to a
one-meter hedge (as in the picture).
Cutting sequence:
First cut both sides, bottom up, so that small
pieces do not fall in the cutting area. After
that, cut the upper part (picture opposite).
In case of long branches, cut the hedge
several times to have better control of the
equipment and to demand less effort from
the motor - branches that are cut shorter,
decompose easier.
