@ REVERSE MODE switch
3 Set to this position for continuous playback.
: Set to this position for both-sides Playback.
(=) : Set to this position for one-side playback.
@ DOLBY NR/FM mode switch
Set to ON when playing back a tape recorded with noise
reduction. In the CX-F5K/G, this also
functions as an FM mode switch:'set to FM ST when listening
to an FM stereo broadcast.

RADIO
: Set to this position to listen to the radio.
(OFF) TAPE : Set to these positions to listen to a cassette, After use,

forward direction (according to the setting

switch). Press again to play in the reverse direction. Each time

button is pressed, the tape is reversed.

Indicates the direction of tape travel. The battery can be checked
with the function switch set
to (OFF) TAPE,

e FM mode switch
Normally set to FM ST. When an FM stereo broadcast is being received, the unit switches to the
stereo mode automatically. !f you are in a weak signal area, too far from the station or indoors
and there is too much noise, open the cassette holder slightly (to the first position. in which it
locks) and set the FM mode switch to MONO,
@ Note on AM reception
When a cassette with a metal shell or label is loaded, AM reception may be noisy or the frequency
may drift. if this happens, remove the cassette,
CLEANING
THE
HEAD
For optimum playback, the head, etc. must be clean. Clean the head, capstan, etc. with a cotton
bud moistened with alcohol every 10 hours or so of use.
