Damaged or unservicable filters should be
replaced immediately!
Warranty cannot be accepted for engines
which were not or improperly serviced and
maintained.
Remove air filter cover for removal and
installation of air filter. Loosen filter cover
screw (illustration 1.6).
Always ensure correct seating of the airfilter
material.
Cleaning of air inlet systems:
When operating blowers it can happen that
leaves and other debris clog the air inlet
systems. (see air blower fig. 1 - pos. 21 and
engine cooling fig. 1 - pos. 22) These areas
have to be checked and cleaned frequently!
Spark Plug
The following spark plugs with the thermal
range of 200 should be used:
BOSCH
WSR6F
CHAMPION
RCJ-6Y or comparable.
The required electrode gap is 0.5 mm (0.020").
Warning: Check the spark plug
after every 50 hours of operation.
Plugs with badly worn electrodes
have to be replaced.
General Maintenance Hints
After the blower has been in operation for
approx. 5 hours all accessible screws and nuts
(except for the carburetor adjustment screws)
have to be checked and re-tightened if
necessary. Maintenance and repair jobs which
are not described in the owner's manual are
only to be performed by a service centre.
• Cleaning, maintenance and repair work
should only be performed while the spark
plug cap has been removed from the spark
plug, unless, of course, the carburetor is being
adjusted.
Maintenance Procedure
• Maintenance work other than described in
this manual, should only be performed by
an authorized service centre. Only new,
original parts should be used.
• Do not attempt to make changes or
modifications to the blower. Your own
safety could be jeopardized.
• Do not perform any maintenance jobs or
store unit near open fires.
• Regularly check fuel tank lid for leaks and
for proper tank ventilation. Use only spark
plugs which are in good order and regularly
check the spark cable for damage.
• Do not operate the blower with a broken or
removed muffler. This can lead to fires and
cause hearing damage. Do not touch hot
muffler.
When transporting the blower in a
vehicle, ensure the blower
securely to avoid fuel spillage.
- Always empty the fuel tank before longer
periods of storage and non-use as well as
before despatching the unit by transport.
Shut-down and Storage
The blower is to be stored in a dry area and
should be protected with a cover. The
storage area should be inaccessible to
children.
Special engine preservation is not necessary
when using the special two-stroke oil
"Castrol Super TT".
- Completely empty fuel tanks before storing
the blower for extended periods
