Note
The bonding surfaces must be free from dirt and oil or grease.
– Before installing the C-pillar trim, clean the rear side frame
using cleaning solution D 009 401 04.
Note
The vehicle and the C-pillar trim must be at room temperature.
If this is not the case, use the hot air blower -V.A.G 1416- to
produce the desired temperature.
– Using the removal aid -C-, remove the protective film from
the adhesive strips -5- on the C-pillar trim -1-.
Note
When installing the C-pillar trim -1-, make sure that all of the re-
taining clips -arrow A and B- are in the correct position!
– Place the C-pillar trim -1- on the bottom edge of the rear side
frame -7-.
– Position the locating pins -2- on the rear side frame -7-.
– Press on the C-pillar trim -1- or knock it into place in the
-direction of arrow A- until it audibly engages.
