Use the direct search playback function to start playback from a
specific track.
Example:
To start playback from track number 4:
Hi Press numeric button number 4.
To start playback from track number 25:
Mi Press numeric button +10 twice, then press button num-
ber 5.
To start playback from track number 30:
@ Press numeric button +10 three times, then press the
zero button.
Note:
e if anumeric button is pressed when the disc drawer is open,
the disc drawer will automatically close and playback of the
selected track will begin.
e if anumeric button higher than the highest track number on
your compact disc is pressed, the CD player will start play-
back from the beginning of the last track on the compact disc.
e Press the CLEAR button if the PROG indicator is on the FL.
display. Direct search will not function when the programmed
playback mode is engaged.

Skip search wa
During playback use the skip search function to go directly to the
track that you want to listen to by skipping other tracks. _
To skip tracks in the forward direction:
M@ Press the > button.
To skip tracks in the reverse direction:
Hf Press the k¢<€ button.
Manual search. a
Use the manual search function to search for any point on the
CD (in the middle of a track for example). Manual search oper-
ates from the playback or pause mode only.
To search in the forward direction:
B@ Press and hold the remote control's > button until the
desired point is found.
To search in the reverse direction:
M™@ Press and hold the remote controls << button until the
desired point is found.
Note:
e During manual search from the playback mode the volume
will be reduced.
e During manual search from the pause mode the volume will
be cut completely and the search speed will be increased by
approximately 2 times the normal speed. To restart play-
back, press the [> button.
