45 Screw jam nut (23) onto pump tube
46 Push on plate (49) to expose coupling (26)
from pump tube as necessary
Attach pump tube to air
motor
47 Screw coupling onto the air motor piston
rod until the spring clip holes align
47.1 Rotate entire pump tube assembly
48 Install spring clip
49 Screw pump tube assembly into body (12)
50 Place a large wrench or other suitable
tool into slot of primer body (51)
50.1 Tighten all components of
assembly securely Crush all
gaskets
51 Tighten jam nut
NOTE
Lightly coat inside diameter of o-ring
with grease
52 Install o-ring (24) into camlock
adapter (25)
53 Install camlock adapter onto air
motor assembly (3)
53.1 Use care when o-ring passes
body (12)
54 Install screws (6), lockwashers (7), and
nuts (8) that secure camlock adapter to
air motor assembly
54.1 Tighten screws securely in an
crisscross pattern
CAUTION

Do not operate this pump
without personal protective
equipment Pump can
generate noise levels above
85 dBa that could result in hearing loss
Failure to comply could result in
personal injury
Bench test
1 Make sure air pressure at regulator
reads zero
2 Install air connector (4) to inlet of
air motor
3 Connect air coupler (5) to connector
4 Slowly supply air pressure, not to exceed
20 psi (1.4 bars) to pump motor
4.1 Pump assembly should cycle
If pump assembly does not cycle, refer to
Troubleshooting, page 16 for details
With air pressure at zero:
5 Connect a product hose to pump
material outlet
5.1 Direct hose into an appropriate
collection container
6 Place pump in oil
7 Slowly supply air pressure to pump
motor
8 Allow pump to cycle slowly until system
and oil is free of air
If the pump assembly does not prime, refer
to the Troubleshooting, page 16
for details
WARNING

Disconnect air to motor if leakage
should occur anywhere within system
Failure to comply may result in
serious injury or death
14
With air pressure at zero:
9 Attach a control valve to outlet hose of
the pump
10 Set air pressure to 100 psi (6.9 bar)
11 Operate control valve into a container
12 Allow pump to cycle until system and oil
is once again free of air
13 Shut off control valve
13.1 Visually inspect pump for
external leaks
13.2 Pump should not cycle Pump that
does not completely stall with oil
does not necessarily mean that it will
not stall with grease
If the pump does not adequately stall, refer
to the Troubleshooting, page 16 for details
14 Check motor for air leakage
If the motor leaks, refer to the air motor
manual 397871 for details
