Installation

Note: The appliance is not suitable for outdoor installation.
The appliance must be installed in compliance with the safety regulations in force in
the destination country and with the instructions in this booklet. The appliance must be
installed on a surface or wall inside the dwelling that is structurally suitable to support
its weight (max.25 Kg mod 200, max. 38 Kg mod 350).
Ensure that connections to the appliance are optimised and simplified by strategic
positioning of the junction box, from which the wires emerge (fig.3).
6.1
Ceiling assembly
Various assembly methods are possible: VORTICE suggests attaching the appliance
to the ceiling using the supplied brackets (fig.4).
In any case, after installation, make sure that the appliance is perfectly level to ensure
proper functioning. The ducts used for ducting must be the correct size.
The ducts to and from the outdoors must be thermally insulated and not subject to
vibration.
The intake and supply piping, with nominal diameter of 125 mm (mod.200), 150 mm
(mod. 350), must be fixed to the corresponding appliance vents with clamps or other
suitable fastening systems.
If the exhaust takes place from the roof, there must be a suitable device present to
prevent the formation of condensation and the entry of rainwater.
If air inlet occurs from the roof, the use of a suitable device is required to prevent the
formation of condensate and the entry of rain water.
6.2

Condensate drain

During normal operation, condensate forms at the bottom of the appliance inside a
double tray which has two drains toward the outside.
The connection points are located on the bottom of the appliance (fig.5). The
condensate drain can be created by connecting two flexible hoses, with an internal
diameter equal to approximately 19 mm, to the drains.
In order to prevent the formation of air bubbles, a siphon must be created with the tube
coming out of the drain identified with number 1 on the appliance, as shown in fig. 7.
Avoid the configuration shown in fig. 6.
Diagonally cut the tube termination.
Please note: Set the siphon in compliance with the dimensions indicated in fig. 8;
otherwise, regular operation of the appliance cannot be guaranteed.
Condensate can also be drained off through the waste plumbing system of the building.
