TO REPLACECHAIN:
1. MoveON/STOP s witchto the STOP
position.
2. Makesurechain brakeis disen-
gaged(seeCHAIN BRAKE in the
OPERATION section).
3. Lift handleof adjustmentknoband
turn counterclockwise to loosen
bar.

Align arrows by pressing tension-
ing lever down to install position
(see illustration).
Remove chain
brake from saw.
5.
Slide guide bar behind clutch drum
until guide bar stops against clutch
drum sprocket.

Remove the old chain.
7.
Carefully remove new chain from
package. Hold chain with the drive
links as shown.

Place chain over and behind
clutch, fitting the drive links in the
clutch drum sprocket.
9.
Fit bottom of drive links between
the teeth in the sprocket in the
nose of the guide bar.
10. Fit chain drive links into bar
groove.
11. Pull guide bar forward until chain is
snug in guide bar groove. Ensure
all drive/inks are in the bar groove.
12. Align arrows on chain brake by
FnreSsing tensioning lever down to
stall position (see illustration).
13. Install chain brake. Turn handle of
adjustment knob clockwise until
knob begins to thread onto bolt.
14. Release tensioning lever. Chain
will tighten automatically.
15. While lifting tip of guide bar, tum
handle of adjustment knob clock-
wise to clamp bar. Tighten until bar
,s clamped securely.
