WORKPLACE
To ensure safety at work, adequate lighting must be provided and the workplace must be kept clean. Do not use the device in an
environment with an increased risk of explosion, or in an environment of flammable liquids, gases or vapours. Use appropriate perso-
nal protective equipment during work and avoid work in a state of fatigue. Ensure that there is adequate ventilation in the work area,
protecting against the inhalation of harmful fumes generated during soldering.
DEVICE USAGE
Before starting work, make sure that the unit is free from defects and faults, that the power cord is not damaged or interrupted. If any
malfunction is detected, do not continue working and return the unit to an authorized service center. Make sure that the plug of the
electric cable fits into the mains socket. Avoid contact between the power cable and heat, oils, sharp edges and moving parts. Damage
to the power cord increases the risk of electric shock. Use the right tool for the job and avoid overloading it. Soldering irons with power:
- up to 30W are designed for soldering elements on integrated circuit boards, small electronic components,
- 40~60W for soldering electrical and electronic components,
- 80~100W as above if more soldering power is needed.
Before starting work, make sure that the head is clean and well attached to the soldering iron socket. The proper mounting of the head
affects the heating speed and efficiency during work. Place the soldering iron on a stand, providing a properly prepared workstation.
Then connect it to the power supply. Wait until the head reaches the required temperature. Use flux and binder (tin) when soldering.
The head should be applied to the soldering points so that the binder flows from the head to the joint. Always place the soldering iron
on the soldering iron base.
Before changing accessories or storing, disconnect the plug from the mains socket and wait for the device to cool down.
CAUTION: The unit heats up to high temperatures during operation and may cause burns. Do not touch the working part and the
soldering iron tip during operation. After heating up, hold the soldering iron only by the handle. After finishing work, unplug the
plug from the mains socket, and put the soldering iron on the designated stand to cool down. Do not immerse the solder in water
or other liquids to cool down. Do not solder live parts.
MAINTENANCE, SERVICE, CLEANING
Always unplug the device from the mains socket before performing maintenance and cleaning. Use a dry, soft cloth or brush to remove
the dirt. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents. An air stream of not more than 0,3 MPa may also be used.
WASTE DISPOSAL
Damaged equipment, accessories and packaging materials should be recycled and used in an environmentally friendly manner.
