Assembly / Before commissioning
m NOTE!
The pump can also be permanently installed indoors
for domestic water supply. To minimise vibrations and
noise, the pump should be connected to the pipework
using flexible hose lines. It is also advisable to place
anti-vibration material, e.g. a layer of rubber, between
the pump and the base.

9.1
Fitting of a suction line (Fig. 13a)
1.
Screw the 1" threaded nozzle (10) or the con-
nection nozzle (11) to the suction connection (7)
hand-tight.
2.
Now connect a suitable suction hose* (plastic
hose min. 19 mm (3/4")) to the connection nozzle
(11). Alternatively, use the threaded nozzle (10) on
the connection nozzle (1 inch thread).
3.
Lay the suction line rising from the water pick-up
point to the pump.

Notes:
• Ensure that the suction line is not laid above the
pump height; air bubbles in the suction line delay
and prevent the suction process.
• Attach the suction and pressure lines so as to avoid
mechanical pressure on the pump.
• Place the suction line deep enough in the water to
prevent the pump from running dry due to the wa-
ter level sinking.
• Check the suction line for leaks to prevent air from
being sucked in.
• Avoid sucking in foreign bodies (sand etc.).
9.2
Filling the pump with water (Fig. 14)
m NOTE!
To reduce the start-up time of the pump and to prevent
air from being sucked in, the pump must be filled with
water beforehand!
1.
The suction line should already be fitted for this
purpose to prevent water from flowing out of the
suction connection (7).
2.
Fill the pump via the opening of the pre-filter screw
(8). Alternatively, water can be poured in through
the opening of the pressure connection (1).
3.
Tilt the pump slightly in between to avoid air pock-
ets.
4.
Now attach the pressure line* as described in the
next point.
9.3
Fitting of a pressure line* (Fig. 13b)
1.
Screw the desired hose connection to the pres-
sure connection (1).
2.
Connect the appropriate hose* for your hose con-
nection. The pressure line should have a diameter
of at least 19 mm (3/4").
3.
During the suction process, the consumers pres-
ent in the pressure line (e.g. syringe, shower, toilet
flush, etc.) must be completely opened so that the
air present in the suction line can escape freely.
