FUNCTIONS
• Shuffle
Press SHF (9) to playback all tracks in
random order. "S-SHF" is displayed. Press
again to exit this mode; "S-SHF" turns off.
When listening to MP3/WMA CDs press and
hold SHF (9) to playback all tracks in random
order. "S-SHF" is displayed. Press again to
exit this mode.
• Eject CD
Press button (29) to stop CD/MP3/WMA
playback and press (28) to eject the CD.
• ESP Function (optional)
The unit can play CD and MP3 media for up
to 70 seconds without skipping.
SPECIAL FUNCTIONS FOR MP3/WMA
CDs
1. Direct UP/DOWN Selection
Press DIR- (8) or DIR+ (15) to navigate up
or down. These buttons are invalid if no
directory is stored on your MP3/WMA CD.
2. Select Track
• Direct Track Select
Press and hold AS / PS (D-AUD) (20). For
digital Audio CDs "Direct track select" is
displayed.
The unit searches the tracks with the fol-
lowing numeric buttons:
M1-M6, MOD (5), DSP (0),
TUNE/SEEK/TRACK DOWN (8),
TUNE/SEEK/TRACK UP (9)
• Search Folder or File Name
Press AS / PS (D-AUD) (20) twice. "Searching
Directory or file name" is displayed for digital
Audio CDs. The unit searches for files and
folders.
Proceed as follows:
- Use the corresponding buttons for letters
A to Z, space, 0 to 9, _, -, +.
- After each entry press SEL (26).
- Press BND/LOU/ENT (24) to start track
search. ( " ) is displayed if the selected
track is in a folder.
- Press TUNE/SEEK/TRACK UP/DOWN
for all tracks in this folder and select the
track.
- Press BND/LOU/ENT to confirm and start
playback.
- Repeat above steps if the new selected
tracks are in a folder.
3. DISPLAY ID3 INFORMATION
Press ID3 (20) to display ID3 tags (if avail-
able: title, artist and further information...)
(ONLY FOR MP3 ID3 VERSION)

CD TIPS
A. Tips For CDs:
1. Only use standard CDs to avoid damag-
ing the unit. Only use round CDs, which
are not damaged or warped.
2. Do not attach stickers to CDs; this can
cause malfunctions.
3. Dirt, dust, scratches and warped CDs
cause malfunctions.
B. Tips For CD-R (Recordable) And CD-
RW Discs (Rewritable)
1. Only use CDs with the following logos for
playback:
