2. The unit cannot play CD-R or CD-RW
discs, which are not finalized (see user
manual of your CD-R/CD-RW recorder or
CD-R/CD-RW software for further infor-
mation).
3. Depending on recording mode, condi-
tion of CD and accessories for recording
some CD-R/CD-RW discs cannot be
played on this unit (see *1).
*1: Observe the following recommendations
for reliable playback:
a: Use CD-RW discs with a speed of 1x to
4x and burn with 1x to 2x speed.
b. Use CD-R discs with a speed of 1x to 8x
and burn with 1x to 2x speed.
c. Do not play CD-RW discs, which have
been rewritten 5 times or more.
C. Tips For MP3 Files (MP3 Version Only):
1. Ensure to name MP3 files with ".MP3"
ending.
2. Non-MP3 files cannot be read by the
unit, even if the ending is".MP3".
MEMORY CARD Operation
Some models come with a memory card
interface. The card slot is behind the front
panel.
The unit scans for MP3 and WMA files and
plays them automatically after a memory
card is inserted. Operation is similar to MP3
operation (see above). In a different mode
press MOD (5) to select card mode. Do not
insert your memory card for playback if im-
portant data are stored on the card.

• Prepare Bluetooth Operation
(i) Check if your mobile phone supports .
Bluetooth before accessing the function.
(ii) Different mobile phones have different
Bluetooth transmission capabilities. For
optimum transmission quality we recom-
mend a distance of 3m or less between
this unit and your mobile phone. Do not
place metal objects between this unit and
your mobile phone.
• PAIRING
1) In any mode press and hold PAIR (MOD)
(5) for 5 seconds, "Pairing..." is displayed.
2) Navigate to the Bluetooth settings menu of
your mobile phone (see operation in your
mobile phone's user manual).
3) Your mobile phone's list shows "CarBT".
Select this device and enter password
"0000".
4) After successful pairing "CONN OK!" is
displayed.
5) If pairing is not successful "END" is dis-
played. Try to press and hold PAIR (10).
Note: During pairing only buttons RELEASE
(2), VOLUME (26) and MUTE (14) work. All
other buttons have no function during pair-
ing. During pairing press PAIR (5) to cancel
pairing.
CONNECT
The unit automatically reconnects. Briefly
press
(4) to automatically reconnect with
your mobile phone (Note: the mobile phone
must be paired). Under following conditions
you can also pair manually; press and hold
CON (18), "Conn OK!" is displayed. „Con-
nected! OK!" is displayed and a beep tone
sounds if the new connection is successful.
1) With the mobile phone out of range the
connection is lost. You must later recon-
nect.
2) You must later reconnect if the mobile
phone is out of range and you have an
incoming call.
