Comparison between welding processes:
OPEN ARC
No gas supply required
No stop welding
Higher deposition efficiency
Fast deposition
Lower labour costs
Easily portable
3 – DESCRIPTION
This continuous electrode flux cored wire feeder, without shielding gas (OPEN ARC), is powered directly from no-load voltage of
AC or DC welding power sources. It is fitted with a voltage sensor which controls the welding current and the variation of the
wire speed, keeping constant the arc
Replaces MMA-coated electrode, MIG/MAG or SAW-submerged arc welding processes with great reduction of costs
and fastest weld deposition rates.
Very easy of use, ideal for construction, repair and maintenance, shipyards or mines to quickly reconstruct wear protection over
very large areas. Fully adapted of all manual metal arc generators, either in direct current DC or alternated current AC, with
capacity of at least 300A, under a duty cycle of 60%.
All functional components have a very simplified access.
With a very simple use, the welding parameters of this equipment can be quickly regulated. Its compact and robust construction
allows its reliability under tough conditions, either in workshops or external shipyards.
