in the case of deliveries to a private household.
In the distance selling branch, the option to have
the old appliance picked up free of charge upon
acquisition of a new appliance is restricted to heat
exchangers, visual display units and equipment
systems with at least one outer edge exceeding
50 cm in length. The distributor is required to con-
sult the consumer regarding her or his intention to
surrender upon conclusion of the purchase agree-
ment. Apart from that, consumers are entitled to
surrender up to three appliances of any particular
appliance type free of charge at the collection
point of a distributor, irrespective as to whether
the consumer has acquired a new appliance.
Nevertheless, the edge length of the appliance in
question must not exceed 25 cm.
Warranty and Service
Warranty
Dear Customer,
This appliance comes with a warranty valid for 3
years from the date of purchase.
If the product contains defects, you have a legal
claim against the vendor of the product. Your legal
rights are not limited by the terms of our warranty,
which are reproduced below.
Warranty conditions
The warranty period shall commence on the date
of purchase. Please keep the original purchase
receipt. This provides proof of your purchase.
If, within three years from the date of purchase, a
material or manufacturing defect is ascertained,
we shall either repair or replace the product for
you, in accordance with our own discretion, free
of charge. To make a claim on the basis of this
warranty, the defective appliance and the pur-
chase receipt must be received by our company
together with a written description of the defect,
indicating the time at which the defect occurred,
within a period of three years.
If the defect is covered by our warranty, we shall
either repair your product and send it back to you,
or you will receive a new product. The warranty
period shall not resume following repairs and/or
replacement of the product.

The warranty period shall not be extended by the
warranty service. This shall also apply to parts that
have been repaired or replaced. Damage and
defects in existence at the time of purchase must
be immediately reported after unpacking. Repairs
required following expiry of the warranty period
shall be carried out at the expense of the owner.
Scope of warranty
The appliance has been manufactured using the
utmost care in accordance with strict quality stand-
ards and subjected to extensive testing before
delivery.
The warranty covers all material and manufac-
turing defects. The warranty shall not apply with
respect to parts that are exposed to normal wear
and tear, and which are considered wear parts
due to their nature and characteristics (e.g. filters
or fastening components). Damage to fragile parts
(e.g. switches, batteries or parts made of glass)
are likewise not covered by the warranty.
This warranty shall expire if the product is dam-
aged due to improper use or improper main-
tenance. Strict compliance with all instructions
contained in this manual is essential for proper
use of the product. Improper use, as well as other
procedures warned against in the operating
instructions, must be avoided at all costs.
The product is intended for private use and is not
intended for commercial use.
The warranty shall expire if the product is improp-
erly used or subjected to misuse or forcible opera-
tion, or if it is subjected to interference or meddling
not carried out by our authorized service centers.
Procedure in the event of a war-
ranty claim
To guarantee fast processing of your claim, please
proceed as follows:
- Keep your purchase receipt and the item num-
ber (e. g. IAN 446668_2307) ready, as you
will be asked to show proof of your purchase.
