Operating Instructions
Keep all persons out of the path of moving equipment and logs when operating or loading and turning logs.
Failure to do so will result in serious injury.
Use the hydraulic log turner to turn round logs on the log deck.
As indicated by the valve label, the hydraulic log turner levers are located on the hydraulic valve stack. To raise the log
turner arm up, push the left lever. To lower the log turner arm down, push the left lever up/forward
To rotate the log counter clockwise (towards log dogs), push the right lever down. To rotate the log clockwise, (towards
the log rests), push the right lever up/forward.
This setting can be changed by switching the hydraulic hoses around.
To turn a log:
1.
Unclamp the log but keep the clamp up.
2. Raise the log rests so the log doesn't roll off the log deck.
3. Raise the log turner (paddle/bar).
4. Rotate the log. If the log is not turning, adjust the log turner height.
If you are turning a cant, you may opt to use the hydraulic log clamp to turn the cant. See hydraulic log
clamping instructions.
