it off immediately. Disconnect the device and determine if the problem is with the device or if the
generator's load rating has been exceeded.
- Make sure the electrical rating of the tool or device does not exceed that of the generator. Never exceed
the maximum power rating of the generator. Power levels between rated and maximum power cannot be
used for more than 30 minutes.
NOTICE: Significant overloading will trip the circuit breaker. Exceeding the time limit for maximum
power operation or slightly overloading the generator may not trip the circuit breaker, but will shorten
the life of the generator.
Limit operation requiring maximum power to 30 minutes. For continuous operation, do not exceed the
rated power.
In any case, the total power requirements (VA) of all connected devices must be taken into account.
Appliance and power tool manufacturers generally list calibration information near the model or serial
number.
AC mode
1. Start the engine.
2. Turn on the AC circuit breaker.
3. Switch on the device
Most motorized devices draw more power than their rated output when turned on.
Do not exceed the current limit specified for each output. If an overloaded circuit causes the AC circuit
breaker to trip, reduce the electrical load on the circuit, wait a few minutes, and then reset the circuit
breaker.
High altitude operation
At high altitude, the normal air/fuel mixture in the carburettor will become excessively rich. Performance
will decrease and fuel consumption will increase.
High altitude operating performance can be improved by installing a smaller diameter centre fuel nozzle
in the carburettor and readjusting the pilot screw. If you always operate the engine at altitudes above
1500 metres above sea level, contact an authorised service centre for this carburettor modification.
Even with proper carburettor injection, engine power will be reduced by approximately 3.5 % for every
300 metres of elevation gain. The effect of altitude on power output will be greater if the carburettor
modification is not performed.
NOTICE: If an engine modified for high altitudes is used at low altitudes, the lean air/fuel mixture will
reduce performance and may overheat and cause severe engine damage.
