Recharging
Before using the battery pack for the first time, charge it as described below.
• Charging starts when the AC adapter provided with the player is connected
to the battery pack.
• Charging completes in about 2.5 hours for the PDV-BT20 and in about 5
hours for the PDV-BT25.
• The battery pack can be charged even when it is attached to the player. It
can also be charged in the stand-alone state.
• When the battery pack is attached to the player, the battery pack can be
charged only when the player power is off. The charging stops whenever
the player power is switched on.

Caution:
• Be sure to use the AC adapter provided with the player.
• When the battery pack is not used, remove it from the player and store it properly.
• If the AC adapter is unplugged and plugged in again when charging has completed
(with the charge indicator lighting in green), charging appears to restarts for a short
period (during which the charge indicator lit in red or amber), but the battery pack
is already charged.
• The charge time is variable depending on the ambient temperature during
charging.
• The battery pack, player and/or AC adapter may become hot during charge or use,
but this is not malfunction.
