‐ When using low density piping it is possible to use hoses having an internal diameter
of 6 mm to 10/12 mm, according to the length of the water line, in order to take into
account any flow resistance, while also considering a supply pressure of at least 2 bars.
When using Aquatherm® pipings those having external diameter of 20 mm are good.
‐ It is absolutely advisable to loop the water line supplying water to the dental units in
order to achieve a more even distribution and pressure of water to the units and to
prevent water stagnation points within the water loop. In case the water loop cannot
be formed a single delivery system can be formed. This solution could however cause
flow resistance and water stagnation.
For each joint to a supplied device the water line has to be fitted with a closing device
‐
to exclude the tool from the water line.
Unless differently agreed upon by contract, the Customer shall provide for:
‐ Preparation of the premises, including any brickworks and/or canalization required.
‐ Power supply of the machine in compliance with the rules in force in the use country:
the machine is fitted with two type L 10 A plugs (3‐pole Italian plug), complying with
the CEI 23‐16/VII, 10° rules. Any connector for different types of plugs shall be
provided for by the Customer, in compliance with rules in force in the use country .
‐ Water feeding, water discharge system and distribution of the treated water to the
utilities: in this aim a water system satisfying the following characteristics and
instructions shall be provided:
‐ Next to the machine installation area a water usage point from the water distribution
network has to be prepared with closing device (usually a ball valve) fitted with a ¾"
external thread coupling, like those commonly used for the connection of washing
machines, dish washers, or cleaners. The water flow at the usage point must not be
lower than 300 l/h, otherwise serious machine malfunction may occur.
‐ Next to this point there will be the infeed of the water network destined to supply
treated water to the dental units and, if any, to an autoclave and/or an additional cock
on the basin located in the sterilization room. This usage point too shall be fitted with
ball valve and a 3/8" or ½" internal thread coupling.
‐ A by‐pass cock is necessary to connect the water distribution network upstream the
usage point and the associated valve with the network downstream the usage point of
the treated water and associated valve, to allow the use of dental units with the
network distribution system in case the Machine is out of order due to repair or
maintenance interventions.
‐ Next to the couplings to the water distribution network a collection point for waste
water from the Machine has to be provided having a discharge capacity of 300 l/h of
water without remarkable counter‐pressures.
