This instruction sheet provides you with the information required to safely
own and operate your product. Retain these instructions for future reference.
The product you have purchased is of the highest quality workmanship and
material, and has been engineered to give you long and reliable service. This
product has been carefully tested, inspected, and packaged to ensure safe
delivery and operation. Please examine your item(s) carefully to ensure that no
damage occurred during shipment. If damage has occurred, please contact
the place of purchase. They will assist you in replacement or repair, if required.

SAFETY GUIDELINES
1. Make certain that the unit is disconnected from the power source
before attempting to service or remove any component.
2. Do not use to pump flammable or explosive fluids such as gasoline, fuel
oil, kerosene, etc. Do not use in explosive atmospheres. Pump should
only be used with liquids compatible with pump component materials.
3. Do not handle pump with wet hands or when standing on wet or damp
surface or in water.
4. This pump is supplied with a grounding conductor and/or grounding
type attachment plus. To reduce the risk of electric shock be certain
that it is connected to a properly grounded grounding type receptacle.
5. The National Electric Code (in the USA) and similar codes in other
countries require a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) to be installed
in the branch circuit supplying fountain equipment rated above 15 volts.
Franklin Electric recommends that each pump be used with a GFCI.
6. Do not allow children or infants to play near the fountain due to
drowning hazard.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
1. Check the pump label for proper voltage required. Do not connect to
voltage other than that shown.
2. If the pump is supplied with a 3-prong electrical plug, the third prong is to
ground the pump to prevent possible electrical shock hazard. DO NOT
REMOVE the third prong from the plug. Do not use an extension cord.
3. There is an adjustment on the pump to regulate the flow of water.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove the fountain assembly and all packaging from the box and
place them on a smooth, flat surface. NOTE: The suction cups and
adapter are not required for this application and are not included.
2. Remove the ornamental pump assembly from the barrel and remove
the packaging.
3. Locate the molded-on dowel/guide pin on the underside of the
ornamental pump assembly.
4. Place the electric pump into the barrel.
5. Nest the dowel/guide pin on the underside of the assembly into the
hole on the edge of the barrel.
6. Ensure that the power cord from the pump is recessed into the
channel on the underside of the assembly and is trailing to the rear.
7. Center the assembly on the edge of the barrel.
8. Tighten the screws into the screw holes using a Phillips screwdriver.
DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.

9. Connect the electric pump to power and allow approximately 20
seconds for water to begin flowing from the ornamental pump.
10. Use the adjustment on the pump to regulate the flow of water.
MAINTENANCE
1. Do not allow the pump to run without water or to freeze.
2. Clean fountain out only with water and, if desired, use only a
tablespoon of chlorine to prevent algae. DO NOT USE BLEACH. It
may tarnish the applied finish.

CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ
1. Assurez-vous que l'appareil est débranché de la source d'alimentation
avant de tenter de réparer ou de retirer n'importe quel composant.
2. N'utilisez pas le produit pour pomper des liquides inflammables ou explosifs
tels que l'essence, le mazout, le kérosène, etc. Ne l'utilisez pas dans des
atmosphères explosives. La pompe ne doit être utilisée qu'avec des liquides
compatibles avec les matériaux des composants de la pompe.
3. Ne manipulez pas la pompe avec les mains humides ni en vous tenant
debout sur une surface mouillée ou humide ou dans l'eau.
4. Cette pompe est fournie avec un conducteur de terre et/ou une
prise de branchement de type terre. Pour réduire le risque de choc
électrique, soyez certain que la pompe est bien connectée à une prise
avec mise à la terre, bien mise à la terre.
5. Le Code national de l'électricité (aux États-Unis) et les codes similaires
dans d'autres pays exigent qu'un disjoncteur de fuite de terre (GFCI)
soit installé dans le circuit d'alimentation de la fontaine de puissance
nominale supérieure à 15 volts. Franklin Electric recommande que
chaque pompe soit reliée à un disjoncteur GFCI.
6. Ne laissez pas les enfants ou les nourrissons jouer près de la fontaine
en raison du risque de noyade.
CONNExIONS ÉLECTRIQUES
1. Vérifiez l'étiquette de la pompe pour la tension appropriée. Ne
branchez pas à une tension autre que celle indiquée.
2. Si la pompe est fournie avec une prise électrique à 3 broches, la
troisième est destinée à la mise à la terre de la pompe pour éviter tout
risque de choc électrique. N'ENLEVEZ PAS la troisième broche de la
fiche. N'utilisez pas de câble de rallonge.
