During Use
• Never exceed the protection limit values indicated in specifi
cations for each range of measurement.
• When the meter is linked to a measurement circuit, do not
touch unused terminals.
• When the value scale to be measured is unknown, set the
range selector to the highest position.
• Before rotating the range selector to change functions,
disconnect test leads from the circuit under test.
• When carrying out measurements on TV or switching power
circuits, always remember that there may be high amplitu-
de voltage pulses at test points that can damage the meter.
• Never perform resistance measurements on live circuits.
• Never perform capacitance measurements unless the capaci-
tor to be measured has been fully discharged.
• Use care when working with voltage above 60V DC or 30V AC
rms. Keep fingers behind the probe barriers while measu
ring.
Never connect components in the transistor, ca
pacitor or temperature probe terminals while making volta-
ge measurements.
• Use this meter only on high voltage or high current circuits
of 440 Hz or less.

Maintenance
Before opening the meter, disconnect test leads
from all sources of electric current!
• If you observe any faults or abnormalities, do not use the
meter. The meter must be inspected by a technician.
• Before use, the back cover must be in place and fully faste-
ned.
• To clean the meter, use a damp cloth and mild detergent
only. Do not use abrasives or solvents.
