6. Operation
1.
Place a prepared specimen slide on the specimen stage and slide it into
the clips, such that the clips hold the slide securely.
2.
Switch on the LED – the base LED or reflective LED – to illuminate the
specimen.
3.
Turn the objective turret – the turret can be rotated both ways – to the
desired magnification. Rotate the objective turret such that the
objective is directly on top of the specimen. It is recommended to start
with the least powerful magnification rate and select a more powerful
objective if needed.
4.
View through the eyepiece and rotate the focusing knob clockwise or
anticlockwise until the image is sharp. Make sure the objective is clear
from obstacles and does not hit the specimen while lowering the
turret.
5.
Zoom in on the image with the zoom dial.

You can easily take pictures of
your specimen using your
smartphone. To do so, slide the
smartphone platform onto the
body and place the smartphone
onto the platform in such way,
that the camera sits just above
the eyepiece.
Now you can take pictures,
record and even zoom through
your smartphone.
