With the Vivanco switch control AV Control 5 up to
5
audio-video
devices
can
comfortably to one TV scart socket. In addition, it
can be used to make recordings with up to 5
recorders. Also, up to 4 TVs, LCD monitors,
beamers, etc. can be connected simultaneously to
distribute an audio-video signal, e.g. from a DVD
recorder, DVB-T receiver in top RGB quality. The
Vivanco Control 5 has so many different application
possibilities that the following instructions should be
seen only as examples. For instance, the AV

1. Connect the AV Control 5 TVout socket to a free
socket on your TV using a (fully wired) scart
cable.
2. If the sound is to be reproduced via a separate
hi-fi system, connect the Audio out sockets to a
free input on the system using a standard phono
cable.
3. Connect the AV (Audio Video) devices (SAT,
DVD, VCR, additional TV, etc.) to the AV1, AV2,
AV3 and AV4 sockets using fully wired scart

cables. Camcorder, digital cameras, video
games, computers, etc. are connected to the
AV5/Aux sockets hidden behind a flap on the
front right of the housing -
can also be connected via partially wired cables and/or
adapters. Devices are connected to the AV5/Aux
sockets using phono or S-Video cables. S-Video cables
should only be used if you are certain that the TV input
can be switched to S-Video/SVHS. Otherwise, use the
Comp. Video (phono) input and not the S-Video input.
4. Connect the device to the mains using the
power cable supplied.
