Rinse the inside of the kettle before use and fill until the max. mark. Then boil water four
times using fresh water every time.
• Use the water level scale to fill the kettle until you have the required amount of water.
You do not need to remove the lid to fill the kettle; the water may be poured through
the spout.
• Place kettle on base.
• Place the plug in the socket with a fused plug.
• Switch on the kettle by pressing the upper part of the ON/OFF switch - control lamp
shines.
• When the water has boiled, the kettle will automatically switch off. The switch auto-
matically returns to its original position and the control lamp goes off.
• Take the kettle from the base and pour out the boiling water. Replace the kettle onto
the base.
• After boiling the water four times and replacing each time (in case of new appliances),
wash out the kettle.
• To use the kettle again, it is not necessary to remove the plug from the socket.
• If you need to remove the mechanical filter from the casing (e.g. to remove lime or dirt),
you will need to open the lid and then remove the filter wall with your fingers.
• Always disconnect the plug from the socket before cleaning.
• Only clean when the appliance is cold.
• Only clean the appliance on the outside with a damp cloth and a mild washing up
detergent.
• Only use washing up detergent for cleaning, do not use any abrasive cleaning agents.
• To remove lime from the inner walls of the kettle, wipe with a damp cloth soaked in
vinegar. Then rinse with water.
• In case the base or the lower part of the kettle have become wet due to overflowing
water, they should be dried before being connected to the mains supply again.
• If lime is deposited on the walls or base of the kettle (stainless steel heating element),
this must be removed.
• Before removing lime scale, remove the mechanical filter from the kettle.
