Extended Lavatory Carriers
Extended lavatory carriers are designed to save a significant amount of time during
installation. A carrier should be used for installation of all wall hung lavatories.
Lavatories attached to the wall with only a fixture mounting bracket will eventually
become unstable, causing damage to the wall, and creating a potentially hazardous
condition. Extended lavatory carriers offer a virtual "bank" of sink locations saving
time for the installer.
Lavatories are commonly designed for installation with concealed arm carriers,
whose supporting arms extend through cavities in the back of the fixture. A
concealed arm carrier is entirely hidden by the lavatory and the wall, providing
support without aesthetic degradation.
Methods for installing extended lavatory carriers may vary according to the
preferences of the installer, rough-in set-up, and local plumbing requirements. This
manual should be used in accordance with the above.
Installation Instructions
1. Extended lavatory carriers come unassembled in the box. Remove all carrier parts
from the packing and pre-assemble. It is recommended that screws are not
tightened down completely until the multi-unit lavatory carrier is lined up, in place,
and adjusted to the correct height.
2. Cross plate brackets (located on back of cross bar) should slide down onto the
leg assembly and be bolted in place at the correct height (Hex bolts included).
3. Cross plate clips attach to the front of the cross bar to hold the 10" long brackets
(supports) for the carrier arm. (Hex bolts included) Clip will slide onto the end of
the long cross bar and may need to be tapped on lightly with a hammer to attach.
Gently tap against the edge of the cross plate clip until it sits fully on the cross bar
rail. The clips will slide across the bar to the correct location for the arm supports.
