• HAZET torque wrenches are only intended for
tightening screw connections. Under no circum-
stances must they be used as levers, clamping
or hammering tools.
• Torque wrenches are calibrated hand tools
and must be handled with great care. For
this reason you should always avoid mechani-
cal, chemical or thermal stress in excess of
that encountered in normal use as intended.
Do not dip the torque wrench into liquid. The
torque wrench must not be used as a hammer-
ing tool. Such use may cause accidents and
damage. Extreme climatic conditions (cold, heat,
humidity) may affect the release accuracy.
• The improper use of the tool or the disregard of
the safety advice may cause severe injury.
• Any deviation from the intended use and/or any
misapplication of the tool is not allowed and will
be considered as improper use.
• Before use, check for correct setting of the
release torque, and for proper seating of the
socket and / or insert tool used. Fit the tool in
such a way that it cannot slip off the screw con-
nection. Otherwise you risk personal injury and /
or material damage.
• When using sockets or insert tools, always
ensure that they conform to the standard and
that they have the correct shape and size for the
screw connection to be tightened.
• In addition, it is important that the used sock-
et or insert tool is not loaded to a greater
extent than the maximum permitted. This
value may be less than the achievable release
torque of the torque wrench. The use of
home-made
possible hazard. Disregarding this warning may
lead to personal injury and / or material damage.
• According to DIN EN ISO 6789:2003 the release
accuracy tolerance in the direction of actuation
must be ± 4%/± 6%. The release accuracy of
HAZET torque wrenches is ± 4% for System
5000, ± 2% for System 6000 and ± 3% for
System 6000 (according to US standards) as
well as HAZET No. 6150-1 CT and 6160-1 CT in
direction of actuation. The direction of actuation
that reaches this accuracy tolerance is marked
by an arrow on the main tube.
• All torque wrenches are equipped both with
an adjus table scale and an automatic close-
gap release: once the preset value has been
reached, this can be felt and heard. If a low value
is selected the noticeable signal is weak.
Units equipped with a signalling head also pro-
vide a signal transmitter.
• Any claims against the manufacturer and/or its
authorized agents because of damage caused
by improper use of the tool will be void.
