2. Specified Use

The Power Adapter is suitable for:
- operation of the Metabo battery heated jacket HJA
14.4-18 (6.57009, ... 6.57015)
or
- charging/operation of electronic devices with a USB
interface (like Smartphones, MP3 Players, tablets,
etc.) - no data exchange
Only use the Power Adapter with the matching
Metabo battery pack.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards. Involved children
shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
Never attempt to charge batteries that are not
rechargeable. Danger of explosion!
The user bears sole responsibility for any damage
caused by inappropriate use.
Generally accepted accident-prevention regulations
and accompanying safety instructions should be
observed.

3. General Safety Instructions

WARNING – Reading the operating
instructions will reduce the risk of injury.
WARNING Read all safety warnings and
instructions. Failure to follow all safety
warnings and instructions may result in an electric
shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Keep all safety instructions and information for
future reference.
Only recharge with the charger specified by the
manufacturer. Chargers designed for a specific type of
battery may pose a fire hazard when used together with
other battery types.
Only use the batteries provided for this purpose. Use
of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury or fire.
When battery is not in use, keep it away from other
metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws or other small metal objects, that can make a
connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the
battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from
the battery. Avoid contact. If contact accidentally
occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, addi-
tionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the
battery may cause irritation or burns.
Do not operate the device in explosive atmospheres,
such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases
