To change the position of the jumper, proceed as follows:
- unscrew the two cross-headed screws and the 18 mm hexagon nut on
the connector;
- open the instrument and shift the jumper as shown in the photo;
- on completing the operation, close the instrument and tighten the two
cross-headed screws and the 18 mm hexagon nut.
Now the instrument can be switched off only by pressing the ON/OFF
key, so if you forget to switch it off you may find that the battery has run
down the next time you want to use it.
Position the probes on the surface, point or place where you want to take
the measurement.
Avoid the influence of the operator's shadow, or of undesired light sources
or reflections.

METHOD OF USE

- Do not use the probes in the presence of corrosive gases or liquids or
fumes; the container is made of ABS and anticorodal.
- Do not bend or force the contacts when inserting the connector.
- Do not bend or deform the probes.
- Always use the most suitable probe for the measurement to be taken.
- Be careful with the range of use of the sensors.
- In order to obtain reliable measurements, avoid too sudden variations of
the sources of light.
- Always clean the probes carefully after use and put them back in their case.
- The instrument is resistant to water but it is not watertight and should not
therefore be immersed in water. If it should fall into the water, take it out
immediately and check that no water has infiltrated. The probes cannot
be immersed in water as they contain an electronic circuit.
- Be careful with sources of heat and concentrations of light; the probes
and the sensor cannot exceed 50°C.
- Nearby high frequency sources, microwaves or large magnetic fields may
cause unreliable measurements, as they may create electromagnetic
disturbances in the sensor or along the cable.
