Connecting to a PC
• In order to read from the device, it must either be
switched off or in menu mode, as it is not recognised
by the PC in video mode.
• In order to read from the integrated memory (FLASH),
connect the equipment to a PC with the aid of the
USB cable provided. The PC normally recognises the
appliance even without additional software or special
drivers. T he video files, which are stored in 3GP format,
can easily be played back using common freeware
programs such as QuickTime. Image files are stored
in the standard JPG format and can therefore easily
be opened on any PC.
• The software supplied with the BO25 is a free sup-
plement outside the standard scope of supply, for
use in the event that the usual software is not already
pre-installed. It contains codecs to open the most
diverse image/video formats, plus additional fea-
tures such as the conversion of certain formats. The
software is provided in three languages (DE, GB and
FR) and is offered for use with neither support nor
guarantee. The program's GUI is generally easy to
understand and intuitively usable.
Battery
• The appliance is supplied with power by a special
3.7 V rechargeable battery. This should be charged
via the USB/charger combination supplied with the
appliance. The battery remains in the appliance
throughout the entire charging cycle. The charging
time for a fully discharged battery is approx. 5 hours.
The duration of operation with a fully charged battery
is approx. 3.5 to 4 hours (BO25). When charging, the
charging progress can be monitored at the top right
on the activated display.
NOTE: both devices switch on automatically if
necessary after connection of the USB/charger
combination.
• Operation of the BO25 can continue while the battery
is being recharged. Depending on which auto-off or
standby mode is configured in the appliance, the
B - 9
BO25 switches to this mode after the expiry of the
respective time period. The BO25 can also be switched
manually to standby mode during the charging phase
by pressing the power button for 3 seconds. The
LEDs thereby remain activated, if they had previously
been activated, and the display switches off. However,
the BO25 cannot be switched off if it is connected via
the PC's USB interface! It remains in USB mode,
which indicates the connection to the PC, but in
which the opening of the menu and working with the
videoscope is not possible. It is only possible to read
data from the internal Flash memory or the SD card.
• If at any time it should not be possible to recharge
the fully discharged battery, the operation of the
videoscope can thus also be temporarily continued
via the connected USB/charger combination.
06. IMPortant notes
• Make absolutely sure that the swan-neck is never
bent by 90° or more, since otherwise the flexible metal
members of the swan-neck can become snagged or
bent.
• In order to ensure that leaking batteries do not destroy
the appliance, remove the batteries from the battery
compartment if the appliance is not to be used for a
long period of time.
• Clean the camera head in particular with a damp
cloth before each use.
• Use only 3.7V Li rechargeable batteries, like those
fitted in the factory. If unapproved rechargeable batteries/
batteries are used, the correct function of the appli-
ance cannot be guaranteed and all warranty claims
will be rejected in the case of any resulting damage!
