4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The following recommendations will help you clean and maintain
the food processor properly:
· imPORTANT:
- Switch off the appliance, unplug the power supply cable and
leave it to cool completely before carrying out any cleaning and/
or maintenance tasks.
- Take care when handling the blades, as they are very sharp and
can cut.
CLEANING THE JAR AND ACCESSORIES (LID, BASKETS
AND SPATULA):
Wash them by hand using a neutral washing up liquid. Do
not use abrasive products. If you prefer, the accessories
(lid, baskets and spatula) can be washed in the dishwasher,
although this method of cleaning increases the rate of wear and
tear of the products. Do not put the bowl in the dishwasher.
Note: Remove the blades before washing the bowl.
CLEANiNg THE BLADES:
To reduce the risk of rusting, wash them with soap and water
and dry them thoroughly after each use. Do not use abrasive
products. Do not put them in the dishwasher.
CLEANiNg THE WATER TANk:
- Wash it with soap and water, then rinse clean. Do not
use aggressive cleaning products containing chlorine or its
compounds or scourers that could scratch the product.
- Due to the salts in water, it is normal for limescale to form
in the tank. Limescale can build up quite quickly depending
on the hardness of the water and the frequency with which
the steriliser is used. Limescale reduces the food processor's
performance and can prevent it from working properly. The
following recommendations will help avoid this:
1- Fill the tank (J) with tap water.
2- Rinse several times so that the water reaches every side of
the tank, being careful not to get the power supply cable (N) or
dial (L) wet.
3- After pouring out any remaining water, fill the tank (J) with a
solution consisting of one part water, one part vinegar.
4- Leave to act for at least 4 hours.
5- Gently swirl the appliance around for a few minutes and
remove any remaining limescale with a cloth.
6- Rinse the water tank (J) several times with tap water.
7- Leave to drain and dry all wet parts (inside and outside) with
a soft cloth.
8- If the appliance is not going to be used for a long period after
cleaning, dry all its parts. Then store it in a dry, well-protected
place.
CLEANiNg THE OuTSiDE OF THE APPLiANCE:
Clean the outside of the appliance with a soft cloth. Do not
use abrasive cleaners, alcohol, solvents or similar products,
which could cause irreparable damage to the surfaces of the
appliance.
