The Super 10 Series of quality surge suppressors protect your sensitive equipment from spikes,
surges and line noise on the AC power line. Super 10+TEL and Super 10+TEL Deluxe models also
protect your equipment on two telephone lines simultaneously. Super 10+TEL DBS safeguards a
single telephone line and two coaxial lines to protect all your home electronics: satellite, home
theater, computer, Web TV, cable modem, PC TV, TV/VCR, Stereo, DVD and more.
FEATURES
"UNSWITCHED" Receptacles
AC power is always present at these two receptacles whenever your Surge Suppressor is plugged into
a live 120V AC outlet. Use these receptacles to power equipment you want to remain ON constantly,
such as a fax machine or clock. Note: These receptacles are not controlled by the "RESET"(ON)/
"OFF" Switch. DO NOT OVERLOAD these receptacles. Connect equipment having a total current
draw of up to 12 amps. Each outlet can handle up to 12 amps, but do not exceed a total load of 12
amps for both outlets.
Illuminated "RESET"(ON)/"OFF" Switch & Circuit Breaker
This switch serves two functions: 1) it turns the eight unmarked receptacles ON or OFF; and 2) it serves
as a resettable circuit breaker for the eight unmarked receptacles. This switch will illuminate RED
whenever your Surge Suppressor is plugged into a live 120V AC outlet and the switch is in the
"RESET" (ON) position. This indicates 120V AC power is present at the receptacles. If the current
draw of the equipment connected to the unmarked receptacles exceeds 15 amps for longer than a few
seconds, the circuit breaker will open (trip) to prevent possible damage. When the circuit breaker trips,
the switch will no longer be illuminated and will move to the "OFF" position. Remove the overload
and allow the breaker to cool for one minute before depressing the switch to "RESET."
Diagnostic Indicator Lights
LINE OK (Green Indicator Light) (ALL MODELS)
•
Indicates 120V AC power is present with no wiring faults detected. When this LED is
illuminated, AC power is safe for connected equipment.
FAULT (Red Indicator Light) (ALL MODELS)
•
Indicates a wiring fault has been detected. If this LED illuminates at any time the unit is
plugged in, the fault should be repaired by a qualified electrician as soon as possible. This
LED indicates that phases are reversed, ground is missing or some other sort of wiring
error exists in the circuit the Surge Suppressor is plugged into. Carefully check the AC
receptacle the Surge Suppressor is plugged into. The receptacle must be tight and securely
grounded. A loose AC receptacle may cause the Fault indicator light to illuminate. The
Fault detector circuitry will light for most common wiring faults, but will not necessarily
detect every possible type of fault.
If, after inspection by a qualified electrician, a wiring fault is not detected, the Fault indi-
cator light may be indicating that the surge suppression components have been com-
promised as a result of surge damage. Even if the surge suppressor is providing AC
power at all of the receptacles, it may not provide its total rated surge suppression as
outlined in the "Specifications" section. Should you require service, call Tripp Lite
Customer Support at (773) 869-1234. Explain fully the perceived problem to the
customer support person. They will either remedy the problem over the phone or give
you instructions about return, repair or exchange.
