Important information
– Check the standard equipment: interface
board with the circular connector, screws,
special wrench, adhesive label, installation
instructions, interface description for the
Spider/Spider S scales.
– The PCB of the terminal contains electronic
components, which are sensitive to electro-
static discharge. Take the appropriate pre-
cautions when you install the interface (ESD
protection).
Opening the terminal
Warning: The integrated power supply unit
carries a voltage of 230/120 V! It is thus
essential to disconnect the terminal from the
power supply before disassembly!
• Place the terminal with the display facing
downward on a stable work surface. Undo
the 4 cap nuts using a 7 mm socket wrench.
• Turn the terminal to the normal position
(display upward) and pull the cover up and
off on all sides uniformly. Depending on the
model, the terminal cover is connected to the
board by one or more ribbon cables. You
should thus detach the cover very carefully
to avoid damaging the cables or connec-
tors. Remove the ribbon cables from the PCB.
Important information:
– The cover must not be tilted when it is de-
tached as this could lead to damage to the
seal. Pull it slowly and evenly to over-
come the seal resistance.
– On no account use a screwdriver or a
similar tool to loosen the cover!
Installing the interface board
– Remove the screw (right back) which se-
cures the main PCB to the base of terminal
housing.
– Only for the Spider 2S/3S: Loosen the
screws of the additional PCB and remove the
PCB.
- Mount the interface board in the terminal and
check that the plug fits properly in the socket
of the main PC board.
Wichtige Hinweise
– Prüfen Sie den Lieferumfang: Schnittstellen-
karte mit Rundstecker, Schrauben, Spezial-
schlüssel, Aufkleber, Montageanleitung,
Schnittstellenbeschreibung zu Spider/Spi-
der S-Waagen.
– Die Platine des Terminals enthält elektroni-
sche Bauteile, die empfindlich sind gegen
elektrostatische Entladungen. Treffen Sie des-
halb für den Einbau der Schnittstellenkarte
die entsprechenden Vorsichtsmassnahmen
(ESD-Schutz).
Öffnen des Terminals
Achtung: Das integrierte Netzteil führt 230/
120 V Spannung! Deshalb Terminal vor der
Demontage unbedingt vom Netz trennen!
• Legen Sie das Terminal mit der Anzeige
nach unten auf eine stabile Arbeitsfläche.
Lösen Sie die 4 Hutmuttern mit Hilfe eines
7 mm Steckschlüssels.
• Drehen Sie das Terminal in die Normalposi-
tion (Anzeige nach oben) und ziehen Sie die
Abdeckung auf allen Seiten gleichmässig
nach oben ab. Je nach Modell ist die Termi-
nal-Abdeckung über ein oder mehrere Flach-
bandkabel mit der Platine verbunden. Lösen
Sie deshalb die Abdeckung ganz vorsichtig,
um eine Beschädigung der Kabel oder Stek-
ker zu vermeiden. Lösen Sie die Flachband-
kabel von der Platine.
Wichtige Hinweise:
– Die Abdeckung darf sich beim Lösen nicht
verkanten, da dies zu einer Beschädigung
der Dichtung führen kann. Ziehen Sie des-
halb langsam und gleichmässig, um den
Widerstand der Dichtung zu überwinden.
– Verwenden Sie auf keinen Fall einen
Schraubenzieher oder ähnliche Werkzeu-
ge, um die Abdeckung zu lösen!
Einbau der Schnittstellenkarte
– Lösen Sie die rechte hintere Schraube mit
der die Hauptplatine am Boden des Termi-
nalgehäuses befestigt ist.
– Nur Spider 2S/3S: Lösen Sie die Schrauben
der Zusatzplatine und entfernen Sie die Pla-
tine.
- Setzen Sie die Schnittstellenkarte in das Ter-
minal ein und achten Sie darauf, dass der
Stecker korrekt in die Buchse der Hauptpla-
tine einrastet.
