Saitek 3D 380 2.1 Active Speakers
Congratulations on buying the Saitek 3D 380 2.1 Active Speakers. The Saitek 3D 380
has a woofer unit and two satellite speakers plus bass contour control to give you
enhanced bass and clear treble from any music source.
Operating the Saitek 3D 380 is simple:
1 Plug the AC power cord into the bass woofer unit's AC in socket. Insert the mains
plug into a wall socket and switch on.
2 Plug the PS/2 cable from the right satellite speaker into the "R" output on the woofer
unit and the left speaker cable into the "L" output on the woofer.
3 Plug one end of the 3.5mm jackplug cable into the audio out socket of your PC, iPod,
MP3 player, PSP etc, and the other end into the "input" socket on the woofer unit.
4 Power up the speaker system power by pressing the on/off switch on the woofer unit
and turn the volume control clockwise to switch the system on.
5 With the 3D 380's volume control at 0, turn on your music source, press Play and
adjust the volume level of your PC, iPod, MP3 player, PSP etc to three quarters. Now
turn up the 3D 380's volume to the desired listening level.
6 You can use the Saitek 3D 380's bass contour control to adjust the frequency
response of the speaker system to suit your listening environment. To increase bass
boost, turn the bass contour control clockwise. To reduce bass boost, turn the bass
contour control anti-clockwise.
7 Do not use your 3D 380 at excessive volume levels. If your 3D 380 sounds distorted,
turn down the volume and/or bass contour controls until the distortion stops.
Positioning the 2.1 speaker system
You can position the 3D 380 satellite speakers in three different ways to suit your
listening environment and preferred sound.
