3. To remove the filter baffle (See Figure 2): Remove the filter, slide the top
baffle clips inwards until they clear the tops of the baffle mounts, slide the
baffle down until the bottom baffle clips clear the bottoms of the baffle
mounts, then move the baffle back towards the handle, and lift it out.
4. To refit the filter baffle (See Figure 3): Lower the baffle into the body of the
kettle, on the handle side of the baffle mounts. Bring it forward to the spout
side of the baffle mounts. Raise it until the bottom baffle clips engage with
the bottoms of the baffle mounts. Squeeze the top baffle clips over the tops
of the baffle mounts.
5. To refit the filter (See Figure 4): With index finger on the tab at the rear
of the filter, and the thumb on the point at the front of the filter, squeeze
together to raise the horizontal part of the filter about 30° toward the
vertical part. While holding it in this position, engage the grooves in the
upright part of the filter with the sides of the filter baffle,and slide the filter
down tot he bottom of the baffle.
6. Rinse the kettle out with fresh water and it's ready for use.

1. Mineral deposits in tap water may cause scale deposits to form inside
the electric kettle after frequent use. To remove this scale build-up,
fill the kettle with a solution of 3 cups of white vinegar and 3 cups water.
Let sit overnight.
2. Empty the vinegar solution from the electric kettle. Remove any stain
remaining inside by rubbing with a damp cloth.
3. Fill the electric kettle with clean water. Place kettle in power base
and bring it to boil, then discard water. Repeat and the electric kettle
will be ready to use.
4. The electric kettle will not operate again until the on/off switch is pressed
downward.
