Operation—Power Tool (cont'd)
Usage Suggestion
• If there is not enough force pushing down on the
bit, the tool may not be able to blow in hammering
mode. This is to prevent the hammering mode from
operating with no load. Press down harder on the
bit to engage the tool and cause it to blow. Always
be sure to press down with enough force when
working.
• In winter or in other situations where the tempera-
ture of the unit is low [41 ºF (5 ºC) or below], the
blow of the hammering mode may be weaker than
normal at the beginning stage. This is because
the grease becomes stiffer in low temperatures,
increasing friction. If this should happen, operate
in hammering mode with no load for approximately
30 seconds and repeat this three times. This will
restore the tool's blowing power.
Control Panel
• DO NOT STARE INTO WORK LIGHT. Use of controls
or adjustments or performance of procedures
other than those specified herein may result in
hazardous radiation exposure.
• Do not use it as a substitute for a regular
flashlight.

LED Light (1)
Note: To use the LED light, depress the trigger once.
Press the LED light button.
Pressing
toggles the LED light on and off.
The light illuminates with very low current, and it does
not adversely affect the performance of the driver
during use or its battery capacity.
The built-in LED light is designed to illuminate the
small work area temporarily. After installing the battery
or if tool has been idle for more than 5 minutes, the
work light will not illuminate until the trigger has been
initially depressed.
This product has a built-in LED light. This product
is classified into "Class 1 LED Product" to IEC (EN)
60825-1:2001.
Overheat Warning Lamp (2)
Off
(normal operation)
The overheating protection feature halts driver
operation to protect the battery pack in the event of
overheating. The overheat warning lamp on the control
panel flashes when this feature is active.
• If the overheating protection feature activates, allow
the driver to cool thoroughly (at least 30 minutes).
The driver is ready for use when the overheat
warning lamp goes out.
(3)
• Avoid using the driver in a way that causes
the overheating protection feature to activate
(2)
repeatedly.
• If the tool is operated continuously under high-load
conditions or if it is used in hot-temperature condi-
tions (such as during summer), the overheating
protection feature may activate frequently.
