RECHARGING THE
TRUCK PAC TM
Note: There are two ways to charge
the TRUCK PAC
method is automatic charging
with the provided wall charger
(preferred). The second is
through the dc power jack
through the power charging
cord. The second method is
not automatic and requires
watching because the TRUCK
TM
PAC could be damaged due
to overcharging. With either
method of charging, the
selector switch must be set to
12 VOLT SYSTEMS. Failure
to charge the TRUCK PAC
batteries with the selector
switch in the 12V position
may cause damage to the
batteries.
1. With the wall charger. The TRUCK
TM
PAC is automatically charged
using the wall charger. A
CHARGING JACK (found on the
front of your TRUCK PAC
connected through a smart circuit
board to the TRUCK PAC
recharging automatic. If your
Portable Power Source is
completely discharged, it may take
up to 30 hours for recharging.
Overcharging is not a problem when
using the wall charger and the
TM
TRUCK PAC
connected to the wall charger
indefinitely.

11, Figure 1) into the CHARG-
ING JACK (located on the front
of the TRUCK PAC

ADAPTOR to the ac outlet (the
CHARGING light will light).

comes on (you can monitor the
progress by checking the red
POWER LEVEL lights - when all
four POWER LEVEL lights are lit
the CHARGED light should
eventually come on).
e. Once the CHARGED light comes
on, charge another three to six
hours, (three hours is acceptable
but to ensure maximum output
capability, six hours is preferred).
f. If you are not going to need the
TRUCK PAC
may leave the wall charger
connected to the TRUCK PAC
We recommend that the wall
charger remain connected to the
TRUCK PAC
not in use.
2. With the Optional Charging Cord.
Start the vehicle engine. Plug one
end of the power extension cord into
the TRUCK PAC
receptacle and set the selector
switch to 12 VOLT SYSTEMS. Plug
the other end into a vehicle cigar
lighter outlet. Press the test button
and hold for 10 seconds once every
hour to check the POWER LEVEL.
When all of the red lights and the
charged light come on, charge the
TRUCK PAC TM another 1 to 2 hours
to insure a complete recharge. DO
NOT OVERCHARGE! This is NOT
an automatic method of charging the
TM
TRUCK PAC . You must frequently
monitor the charging process
(POWER LEVEL indicators by
pressing the TEST button) to ensure
the TRUCK PAC
overcharged. Overcharging with this
method will damage your TRUCK
TM
PAC .
