FINAL CHECK
After wiring the alarm unit to the various points of the car, carry out the following operations:
1) Check the car keys are not inside the vehicle.
2) Reconnect the battery.
3) Disarm the alarm using the remote control, checking it operates properly.
4) Close the windows, doors, bonnet and boot.
5) Switch on the alarm with the remote control.
5a) During the initial immunity of 25 seconds, simulate an alarm by opening and closing a
door, or the bonnet or boot. The indicators will flash once each time an alarm trigger is reco-
gnised.
5b) If you open a door, the bonnet or boot after the initial immunity time has passed, (the alarm
signal for the opening of the bonnet is delayed for 5 sec) and leave it open, there will be just
one alarm cycle of 25 seconds (acoustic signal).
5c) If one or more doors, the boot or the bonnet are accidentally left open when the alarm is
armed, the peripheral protection will be bypassed and this fault will be signalled by the alarm's
buzzer.
6) Arm the alarm and test the ultrasonics during the 25 seconds of initial immunity: put your hand
in the car through the window and move it horizontally with respect to the plane of the car. The
indicators flash to confirm the alarm trigger has been recognised.
7) Check the alarm functions (siren, indicators, and LED which should to be flashing) are wor-
king properly after triggering an alarm.
8) Bypass the volume protection: turn the ignition key on 2 times in sequence and arm the sys-
tem with the remote control within 15 seconds.
9) Test the emergency disarming: trigger an alarm and then insert and the ignition key and turn
it to its ON position. Keep it turned for at least 5 sec. and the system will then disarm.
NB: you must use the ignition key with the original vehicle CODE.
10) Checking deactivation of the boot opening alarm: if the alarm is on and you press the
boot opening button on the original remote control the system deactivates, otherwise, if the alarm
is on and you press the boot opening button on the remote control supplied with the alarm, the
boot and volumetric protections are both excluded automatically but the protections of the front
and rear doors (if any) are still active. The boot and volumetric protections are reactivated auto-
matically as soon as the boot is closed.
