Maintenance and cleaning
For cleaning and maintenance, the water feature and, if applicable, the branch valve are removed to open the unit.
Recommendation regarding cleaning:
· Clean the unit as required but at least twice a year.
· When cleaning the pump, pay particular attention to the cleaning of the impeller unit and pump housing.
Do not use chemical cleaning agents. Chemical cleaning agents kill the dirt-consuming microorganisms in the
filter media and so reduce the filter performance.
· Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as they could attack the housing or impair the function
of the unit.
· Recommended cleaning agent for removing stubborn limescale deposits:
– Vinegar- and chlorine-free household cleaning agent.
· After cleaning, thoroughly rinse all parts in clean water.
Clean filter media
How to proceed:
1. Carefully clean the removed filter media using clean tap water.
2. Also clean the upper filter shell and the filter subshell carefully with clean tap water.
3. Assemble the unit.
Cleaning the filter pump/replacing the running unit
How to proceed:

1. Pull off the filter housing and clean it with clear tap water.
2. Unscrew the pump lid and clean it with clear tap water.
3. Pull the running unit out of the pump housing, thoroughly clean it with clear tap water or replace the running unit.
4. Assemble the filter pump in the reverse order.
5. Assemble the unit.

Storage/Over-wintering
Remove the unit at temperatures below zero degrees centigrade. Thoroughly clean the unit, check for damage and
store immersed in water in a frost-free environment. Do not immerse the plug!
Disposal
N O T E
Do not dispose of this unit with domestic waste.
· Render the unit unusable beforehand by cutting the cables and dispose of the unit via the return system
provided for this purpose.
