Installation Instructions:
1.) Unscrew the left and right rear screws of the rear leaf spring retainer for "a".
Push the plugs 6 in the pipe ends of the towed-vehicle assembly 1 at the left and right side.
Keep the towed vehicle assembly 1 under the vehicle and tighten the 15x28x2.5 washers as
well as the M14x1.5x140 screws with the spacer tubes 2 for "a".
Torque: For "a" with M14
2.) Unscrew the left and right front screws of the leaf spring retainer for "b" .
Screw each of the brackets 3 and 4 to the vehicle with two 15x28x2.5 screws as well as the
M14x1.5x55 screws for "b" .
Afterwards screw the brackets 3 and 4 to the towed-vehicle assembly with the M10x40 screws,
10.5x21x2 washers as well as the M10 nuts for "c" .
Torque: For "b" with M14
For "c" with M 10
3.) Screw on towing hitch or bolt coupling or switching system for "d" and "e".
Preferably fit the Westfalia towing hitch type 329 057 on vehicles with a standard chassis.
Preferably fit Westfalia towing hitches type 329 062 on vehicles with reinforced springs and
16" tires.
When using the towing hitch type 329 057/329 062, screw this on with the M10x40 screws,
10.5x21x2 washers and M 10 nuts for "d". For "e" screw on with the plate 5, M10x135 screws,
10.5x21x2 washers and M 10 nuts.
Torque: For "d","e" with M 10
CAUTION: If other components are to be fitted, observe the manufacturer's information in the
relevant installation instructions and ensure that the screws are long enough. Always screw on
plate 5for "e".
